Vineyard Wind 1

Massachusetts

Vineyard Wind is currently building the nation's first commercial-scale offshore wind energy project over 15 miles off the coast of Massachusetts. The project will generate clean, renewable, affordable energy for over 400,000 homes and businesses across the Commonwealth, while reducing carbon emissions by over 1.6 million tons per year.

Excelsior Wind

New York

On September 9, 2024, Vineyard Offshore was proud to submit a proposal to New York for the Excelsior Wind project. With capacity of 1.3 GW, Excelsior Wind has the potential to power 700,000 homes in New York with clean and affordable energy, avoiding carbon emissions of up to 1.2 million metric tons annually.

Vineyard Wind 2

Massachusetts, Connecticut. Rhode Island

On September 6, 2024, The Commonwealth of Massachusetts announced it would procure up to 800 MW of Vineyard Offshore’s new 1,200 MW project, Vineyard Wind 2. Located 29 miles south of Nantucket, Vineyard Wind 2 will deliver enough clean electricity to power 650,000 New England homes.

Humboldt Lease Area

California

Vineyard Offshore participated in the first-ever US West Coast auction for commercial-scale floating offshore wind energy development. Vineyard Offshore was awarded a lease area west of Humboldt County for floating wind turbine development. We look forward to supporting the ambitious offshore wind power goals of the State of California and doing our part to create jobs that will benefit the entire state.

Vineyard Northeast

Lease Area 0522

Vineyard Offshore is currently developing lease area OCS-A 0522, dubbed “Vineyard Northeast,” Vineyard Offshore continues to be active in future offshore opportunities in the US.

Vineyard Mid-Atlantic

Lease Area 0544

Vineyard Offshore is currently developing lease area OCS-A 0544, known as “Vineyard Mid-Atlantic.” Vineyard Offshore continues to be active in future offshore opportunities in the US.
