Opportunity for local businesses and suppliers

Vineyard Offshore is dedicated to building a new energy industry in the United States. Everywhere we develop our projects we seek out opportunities for local businesses to join our industry as suppliers and contractors.

Overview

‘Looking local first’ for goods and services

Taking a “look local first” approach that began with Vineyard Wind 1, we strive to bring in local businesses as suppliers and contractors. This applies to project development, construction, and operations in terms of procurement, vessel contracting, and hiring practices, as well as those of our major contractors, original equipment manufacturers, and suppliers.

Making connections with local businesses

We work with chambers of commerce and economic development agencies to make connections with local firms. We host “meet the buyer” events to raise awareness of business opportunities with our suppliers, work with Oceantic Network to provide training for local businesses, and hire fishing vessels for support on the water.

Spreading offshore wind across America

From ports to vessels to materials, each offshore wind project is a multi-billion-dollar investment in homegrown energy. With a mature and growing supply chain across the country, American workers are building our secure energy future, on land and on the water.
