Leading the way on responsible development
Vineyard Offshore is committed to developing, permitting, and deploying well-sited offshore wind projects with minimal environmental impact. For every project, we seek to raise the bar on environmental protection by making industry-leading commitments to conserve and protect threatened and endangered species.
A collaborative approach to environmental stewardship
We work with Tribal Nations and state and federal agencies, as well as environmental, marine, and fisheries stakeholders, to implement best practice approaches to avoid, minimize, and mitigate potential environmental impacts from our projects.
Protecting marine mammals
Vineyard Offshore devotes special attention to the environmental issues of greatest concern. Off the Northeast coast, that means endangered and threatened marine mammals. Chief among these is the North Atlantic right whale.
Investing in research and innovation
We conduct environmental studies and support independent research to gain greater understanding of the marine environment and inform the design of our projects. We also learn by doing, starting with Vineyard Wind 1.
Engaging with expert scientists
Vineyard Offshore is committed to working with expert scientists to ensure offshore wind is well sited and executed.
