Building the nation’s first commercial-scale offshore wind project

The Vineyard Offshore team now has Vineyard Wind 1, the nation's first commercial-scale offshore wind energy project, under construction. With installation now under way, union workers are getting jobs, diverse local businesses are joining the offshore wind supply chain, and communities from New Bedford to Cape Cod and the Islands are enjoying the benefits of Vineyard Wind partnerships. Still to come is development of Vineyard Northeast, a second lease area off the coast of Massachusetts, which has the potential to produce more clean, affordable, renewable energy for the Bay State, along with more jobs and benefits for local communities.
