Mariner Update

2022 WINTER TRAWL SURVEY (522-1)

During the month of February, the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth’s School for Marine Science and Technology (SMAST) is conducting multiple fisheries trawl surveys following the Northeast Area Monitoring Assessment Program (NEAMAP) protocols within the Vineyard Wind Lease Areas (501 & 522), the Avangrid Renewables Lease Area (534) and a control area (see chart). There will be 20 tows performed in lease area 501 and 20 tows in the adjacent control area. There will be 10 tows performed in lease area 534 and 10 tows will be performed in lease area 522.

DATES(S): Starting on or after January 31st, 2022 for approximately 2 weeks LOCATION(S): Lease Areas 501, 534, 522 and a control area.
