Andrea Bonilla, External Affairs Manager, works to support community engagement, outreach, communications, and permitting activities for Vineyard Offshore.

Andrea’s professional experience ranges across a wide set of industries focused on stakeholder and community engagement. Prior to Vineyard, she worked at Eversource focusing on South Fork and Sunrise wind. Before that, she worked at the Workforce Development Institute (WDI) as Long Island’s Regional Director working to strengthen NY's workforce via “boots on the ground” information, workforce expertise, and funding, facilitating projects that build workforce skills and strengthen employers’ ability to hire, promote, and retain workers, supporting labor unions and encouraging living wages across all industries, and supporting emerging industries like wind and renewable energies. Prior to WDI, Andrea came from an economic and community development, and real estate background, having spent over 8 years overseeing a revitalization project in Huntington Station, NY, Long Island, where she partnered with local community organizations for a wide array of programming from education, environment, and arts to women’s programming, business assistance, and youth sports. Previously she also had experience with social media consulting and helping small businesses and organizations create and develop digital strategies.

She is a board member of the Townwide Fund of Huntington and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce; and a graduate of the Class of 2016 of Leadership Huntington and the Huntington Greening Fellowship Class of 2021. During the height of the covid pandemic she was also Chairwoman of a Town of Huntington Business Recovery Task Force for 18 months.

Andrea was a Celebrate Long Island’s Young Professionals 30 under 30 winner in 2014, a Tri Community and Youth Agency (Tri CYA) Hall of Honor Honoree in 2018, and a 2022 Long Island Business News 40 under 40 winner.

Andrea has an Arts Bachelor degree from Brown University in International Relations and Latin American & Caribbean Studies. Andrea lives on Long Island, a place she is excited to be a leader in renewable energy and resiliency for the nation. She enjoys gardening, concerts, and traveling in her free time.
